The Land of Five Towers was made into a movie in 2012 and wonseveral awards. In 2004, Fuadi won the Chevening Award to study documentary filmmaking at Royal Holloway, University of London, and also the opportunity to live andlearn in Canada, Singapore and Italy. They reported on the September 11 tragedy live from the nation’s capital. While doing his studies, he also worked as correspondent for Tempo and Voice of America (VOA). In 1999, he won a Fulbright scholarship for his master studies at the School of Media and Public Affairs, George Washington University in Washington DC. After graduating from Padjadjaran University in International Relations, he worked as a journalist at Tempo magazine. Ahmad Fuadi Born in Bayur, a small village on the shores of Maninjau Lake.
